1. Data controller

Mauro Drigo — e-mail: mauro.drg@gmail.com. This notice is provided under Articles 13–14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

2. Data we process

  • Technical navigation data: delivery and security of the site involve processing IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, timestamps and diagnostic information. URLs and errors may appear in infrastructure logs. The Platform does not intentionally use these data for advertising or profiling.
  • Search queries: submitted text is processed to return results and may be included in the page URL, browser history and technical logs. Do not enter names of patients, health records or other personal or confidential information. No user account is used to associate searches with a profile.
  • E-mail correspondence: if you write to us, we process your address and message to reply.
  • Local storage: one technical entry in your browser remembers that you closed the cookie notice (see the Cookie Policy).

Research is restricted to neurological, psychiatric and central nervous system (CNS) disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder. Search terms are not linked to a profile or account, but because the research topics concern health conditions, please do not enter information about your own or another person's health.

We do not offer accounts, request health data, sell personal data or operate advertising, profiling or optional analytics tools in the application. If you voluntarily send sensitive information by email, it may be processed to handle your request; please avoid sending it.

3. Authors in scientific publications

The Platform displays author names and bibliographic metadata obtained indirectly from public scientific databases, including PubMed, Europe PMC and OpenAlex, for scholarly citation and traceability. The legal basis is legitimate interest in making scientific information accessible (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); Article 89 is not a separate legal basis. Authors may request correction or object at mauro.drg@gmail.com. Scientific literature supplied to automated research tools may contain these public bibliographic details; visitor searches and email correspondence are not supplied to the research agents by the application.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Delivering pages, handling searches and preventing abuse: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure, accessible research website.
  • Responding to correspondence: legitimate interest in handling requests; Art. 6(1)(b) applies only where a request concerns pre-contractual steps.
  • Compliance with applicable legal obligations: Art. 6(1)(c), where an obligation applies.

Providing personal data is not required to browse. An email address and sufficient details are needed only if you want a reply. The Platform does not make automated decisions about visitors producing legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Service providers and external services

The application uses Lovable Cloud for hosting and research-data services, and an email service for correspondence. Infrastructure operators may process technical data to provide those services. Scientific lookups and chemical checks are made by the server to the indicated providers, including PubChem and NIH/NCI; ordinary molecular images are returned through the application rather than requested directly by your browser. Fonts are self-hosted. Following an external link, including Drugs.com, sends your request to that provider under its own privacy notice.

Provider contractual roles, processing locations, retention settings and any applicable international-transfer safeguards must be documented by the Owner from the current provider agreements. This notice does not claim a verified hosting region, adequacy certification or specific transfer mechanism. Contact mauro.drg@gmail.com for provider information.

6. Retention

Correspondence is retained only while needed to handle the request and any applicable legal claims or obligations, and reviewed for deletion when that need ends. Public bibliographic records are retained while relevant to the research archive, subject to correction and rights requests. The cookie-notice preference remains until browser storage is cleared. Infrastructure-log and backup retention depends on provider settings; a fixed period has not yet been confirmed by the Owner.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interest by writing to mauro.drg@gmail.com. Responses are normally provided within one month; any permitted extension will be explained. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it) or another competent supervisory authority.

8. Minors

The Platform is intended for researchers and professionals and is not directed at children.

9. Changes

This notice may be updated; the current version is always published on this page.
